Job Overview
We are looking for a Web Developer specializing in WordPress to join our team in Cabo Verde. Your primary focus will be on building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites for our clients, ensuring they meet modern standards in design, speed, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize WordPress websites to meet client requirements.
- Design responsive, visually appealing layouts that provide an optimal user experience.
- Install, configure, and manage WordPress themes and plugins.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring smooth functionality.
- Optimize website performance, including loading speed and mobile responsiveness.
- Implement basic SEO best practices to enhance website visibility.
- Update and maintain websites, ensuring they are secure and up-to-date.
Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of experience in WordPress development, with a portfolio of completed websites.
Skills:
- Proficiency in WordPress, including themes, plugins, and custom post types.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Familiarity with website hosting, domain management, and WordPress security.
- Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify.
- Familiarity with website optimization tools (e.g., Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix).
- Knowledge of design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Canva.
